A Weyr is a home for both dragon and rider... By tradition, the Weyrs were built in long dead Valcanos...but  can be any place that a dragon lays his or her head.
 
The Weyrleader and Sr. Weyrwoman  are the leaders of the Weyr...their word is law.  If you want to change the way the Weyr is run...just oust the present Weyrleader, win the Sr. Queen in a Flight.

Lateo was the first of the New Weyrs...the hidden Weyrs.  She was founded 270 turns into the 2nd Long Interval and has been growing stronger everyday since.  Right now she is undergoing some leadership change...Will those Loyal to Pern take over or will it be those Loyal only to themselves?

Sodalis is the second Weyr to be located on Southern.  She was birthed when Lateo started out growing her bounds.  The smaller of the two hidden Weyrs, Sodalis still can boast a strong compliment of riders and weyrpersonal.  Not always of the same mind as Lateo, she tends to harbor more rebellious tendencies.
